Endodontics is the branch of Dentistry that deals with the health of the dental pulp and the periapical tissues and, consequently, with preserving the tooth in the dental arch. It involves cleaning the root canals of bacteria and other organic debris, followed by their hermetic sealing. An essential precondition for the success of endodontic treatment is that the tooth be restored with a proper build-up and crown to protect it from fracture.
Our office performs the full range of endodontic treatments using advanced technology: high-magnification loupes (×5), an electronic apex locator and digital x-rays, motorised rotary systems (RaCe and Protaper) for canal preparation, and warm gutta-percha systems (System-B and Obtura II) for hermetic obturation. Treatment may be completed in one or more sessions depending on the pathology, and is always performed painlessly under local anaesthesia.
