Implants

Dental implants have been the greatest revolution in Dentistry in recent decades. They are used to replace one or more missing teeth. The advantages of implant-supported restorations are numerous, the most important being that the integrity of the remaining teeth is preserved, since they do not need to be prepared -- and often treated endodontically -- to support a conventional bridge.

Moreover, they offer an excellent alternative to partial or full dentures by providing support for fixed prostheses. They may also contribute to better retention and stability of a full denture, and achieve excellent aesthetics.

Their long-term success rate is very high, provided there has been careful planning of the restoration and placement, and the patient follows the recommended protocol for re-examination and maintenance.

After the necessary x-rays and study models are taken, the treatment plan is drawn up by the doctor in collaboration with the Periodontist, who will surgically place the implant.

In this way, implant placement is prosthetically guided, ensuring that the final restorations achieve optimal functional and aesthetic results.

In our office we use Straumann implants (Switzerland), whose quality and success rates are backed by decades of clinical documentation.
